Even though these 10 items can be mixed-and-matched in so many different ways, we’ve curated a handful of our favorite go-to looks for a spring vacay! These looks are versatile, comfortable, and can hang between casual and dressed up so you’re for wherever your trip takes you!
First, let’s start with the layering pieces! When building your capsule wardrobe it’s important to be sure that all your layering choices can coordinate effortlessly with different pieces. So we love using a neutral toned soft gray lightweight jacket for easy layering over anything. This one is particularly great for travel because it can easily transition between casual and more dressy given its soft structure and lightweight fit.
As for the kimono, we like to have a little fun and add a bit of pattern and color with this layering piece, which is why we love this colorful patterned kimono with delicate hints of pink, red, brown, and cream. It’s still easy to pair with a variety of layers underneath but it helps to break up the drab look of too many neutrals and solids in an outfit, all while also providing a light and flowy layer for extra coverage or warmth!
We’ve paired these two layering pieces over a basic tank with a punch of bold berry red color, which helps to add a bit of color, and a fresh and bright white denim skinny jean! This tank is one of our fave basics, it features a soft & stretchy feel with double layer knit to help create a smoother look (no bra lines!). Plus, the elegant square neckline makes this top a bit dressier! These skinnies are also a customer favorite, the Kora fit. With a comfy mid-rise and stretchy, curve-hugging fit, these jeans are so flattering. In a bright white they look a bit more beachy and can easily be rolled up at the ankle to create a cropped look too in warmer weather.
So, now with these four pieces we’ve created two effortless daytime looks perfect for shopping, grabbing lunch, or exploring a new town. Both are great for changing weather too as you can remove the jacket or kimono if it heats up and still have a fantastic looking outfit.
I think I always travel with a lightweight crewneck sweater in hand because it’s such a versatile piece of clothing! It’s great to throw on in case it’s a cool, rainy day on your tropical vacay or to have to wear if the temp changes throughout the day. So, our favorite lightweight sweater in store right now is the gorgeous loose knit one with an open weave and gorgeous deep teal color. This color looks amazing with white jeans, creating a look perfect for a cooler morning as it can easily be thrown over a tank to add a cozy (and not too hot) layer of warmth.

Next, let’s focus on some versatile pieces that are perfect for day-to-night! Black is our go-to color for these pieces because black just always dresses up an outfit, it’s timeless, classy, and also super versatile. We just adore the off-the-shoulder silhouette of this feminine black top for travel! So cute with the white skinnies for a dressy look great for cocktails at the resort! Lastly, we love a black maxi dress with a bit of a fitted look to add some elegance. A black maxi dress can literally work for a million different occasions, so it’s always a travel go-to. Great on its own for the day-time with that gorg teal sweater around the waist, but throw the jacket or kimono on top to add a little extra style for a dinner out.

Lastly, let’s talk about accessories. This is where I always tend to get overwhelmed with packing, but it’s really so easy to just keep it simple. Narrow it down to one shoe that goes with everything and a simple, neutral crossbody that can transition between day-and-night perfectly! For this collection, a versatile black flat mule is a winner. Comfortable enough for all day wear, and dressed up enough to wear out for a more formal look, plus it goes with everything from jeans to dresses. As for a bag, we love this cream crossbody. The touch of gold hardware ups its style, but it’s still roomy enough to comfortably carry all your essentials while out-and-about. Oh, and don’t forget your sunnies! This is vacation after all! We love going for a trendier shape here in either tortoise or black so that it goes with all these outfits, but still feels trendy and fun to wear with everything.
