Styling Tips & Tricks
The difference between simply wearing your clothes and feeling great in an outfit comes with styling your look. You want your look to match your personality and you want to wear clothes that you love. Try some of these styling tips and tricks to invigorate your wardrobe!
Coordinate your accessories.
While your shoes, bag, and belt don’t need to all be the same color, coordinating the same color family in these accessories adds instant polish to your look. Choose a color family of black, brown, or a natural color for your belt and shoes and you are instantly pulled together. Notice here how we coordinated the color in the sandal to the belt.
Choose a bright accessory.
Converse to the matching accessory approach above, you can choose a bright shoe/sandal, belt, or bag to add visual interest to your look with a chic vibe. A pop of color can brighten your day and your fashion. Colorful belt bags/wristlets and purses with interchangeable guitar straps are great for instantly styling you.

Layer for a new look.
Consider layering a white tank or tee under a button down shirt that you tie at the waist, or roll up the cuffs to change things up. Or add a denim shirt over a patterned blouse – great layering for the fluctuating temperatures and to change the look of a top. Do you have a cardigan sweater vest that you can put over a tank or tee shirt instead of a turtleneck now that it is warmer? Or layer a blazer over a tee and wear it with shorts for a fun summertime look!
Add a scarf – to anything!
You can take a bandana or scarf and tie it nearly anywhere to jazz up an outfit. Tie it in your hair like a bandana, or around a ponytail for a cute hair accessory. Or knot it around a pure handle for a fun look! You can also fold scarves up and wear them as belts, or wrap them around your wrist like a bracelet.
Add jewelry.
Throwing on earrings, a necklace, rings and a bracelet takes little time and can style any outfit! From shorts and a tee to a fancy dress, finishing your look with jewelry is a quick way to add your own style and have a cohesive style.
Roll and Zhuzh.
Cuff your jeans, roll up the ends of your tee shirt sleeves, fold your denim jacket cuffs up, or tuck your front shirttail in for a French tuck. You can tie your shirt hem in a knot for a different style, or knot a scarf in the middle and tie it underneath your hair at the nape of your neck for a cute and comfy headband. Look for ways to roll your sleeves or the hem of your shorts or pants and “zhuzh” up your look!
