Mod
- We believe in Modern styles [classic, yet stylish and up to date with fashion trends]
- We believe in Modesty [yes moms, you will want your daughter to shop here too]
- We believe in Moderation [fewer quality items in your closet, but we will help ensure you can wear each piece in more than one way]
Mountain
- We believe in layers [because you know how it can be 5 degrees when you leave home and 55 degrees by lunch]
- We believe in natural beauty [and yes, that includes you]
We carry leading apparel, gift and accessory brands, as well as exciting emerging brands. Additionally, we may from time to time provide locally produced items to complement our selection and support the Castle Rock community.
The idea for Mod Mountain Boutique was conceived by owner and operator Morgan Brubaker. Morgan has always had a desire to empower women to reach their full potential. After Morgan graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Fashion Merchandising, she began her career as an assistant in product development and production of a consumer goods company. After a couple of years in that role, Morgan took a position as a store manager for a thrift store that supported a shelter serving homeless and abused women and children. Further, Morgan started an in-store project to provide retail experience to these women as well as provide formal skills training. Morgan then earned her masters degree in apparel design and merchandising at Colorado State University.
It was her desire to empower women and her interest in apparel that led Morgan to start Mod Mountain Boutique. Morgan’s goal is to help women of all walks of life discover their full potential, including loving the clothing they wear, giving thoughtful gifts to others and enhancing their natural beauty. Mod Mountain will also contribute a portion of any profits to organizations who support the empowerment of women.
Mod Mountain is a family owned and operated business. Morgan’s mom, Jayne, brings her background in both for-profit and non-profit organizations to the business. Jayne has served in a variety of volunteer roles in the past as well. The entire family is anxious to be of service to the local Castle Rock community.
